Turbotax says forms will be ready today to finalize taxes 1/18/2018 but their not anyone no why?

Part of the process of readiness depends on the IRS. It's still early in the day on the east coast, (not sure where you're from) so keep checking back as the day goes on. I just noticed today that the "draft" has been removed from the Form 1040 by the IRS so there are likely other forms they have not been given final approval.
