Turbotax Error on Schedule H

Hi Tax Experts!

We employed a nanny in 2023, i have the schedule H prepared by our payroll company. However, the Turbotax schedule H has errors and doesn't match the payroll company's schedule H. How do I override/correct schedule H in trubotax?

Turbotax incorrectly populates 0 Fed income tax withheld when the payroll company says that we've withheld/paid $1,378 (in line 7), then line 8a and 8d are also incorrect.

Turbotax incorrectly has marked line 12 as a No, when it should be a Yes.

Turbotax is also telling me line 13 should be blank, when it should be "WI."

line 14 is also blanks when it should be populated. Then link 26 and 27 in turbotax are lower than they should be.

Greatly appreciate your help!

Turbotax Error on Schedule H

You need to go back through the section. When you entered the section, you should have marked yes to FUTA, entered tax withheld, etc. Follow these steps:

  1. Return to federal
  2. Open other tax situations
  3. Select Nanny and household employee
  4. Did you withhold federal wages? Select YES
  5. Who is the employer?  mark either you or your spouse as the employer
  6. Paid $2600 or more for the year? Select YES
  7. enter your EIN,
  8. enter wages and withholding.
  9. continue through answering questions about your situation
  10. Unemployment information - check the box that says taxable to state
  11. Enter the state and all the information

This should complete your sch H properly. Next, did you make any estimated payments for those taxes paid? If so, you need to enter them under additional tax payments.
