TurboTax desktop for Mac does not follow Schedule 1 directions for line 17 (form 7206)

According to the IRS instructions for form 1040, you only need to use form 7206 for the self-employed health insurance deduction (schedule 1 line 17) if any of the
following applies.
• You had more than one source of income subject to self-employment tax.
• You file Form 2555.
• You are using amounts paid for qualified long-term care insurance to figure the deduction.

However, as of February 15, 2024, TurboTax fails to incorporate these tests and incorrectly inserts a Form 7206 into the return, rendering it ineligible for filing by e-file.

Seems like a bug, and judging from the forums, one being encountered by many users but not attracting much help from TurboTax.
