This is NOT related to any web-based software. I am having the issue with software purchase from a retail location, and installed/downloaded to my PC. Again, this is NOT web-based. Cookies should not be involved, nor any other issue that would be related to a web-browser.
Personally, I spent time last night, on the phone, trying to get this issue fixed, as well as this evening. I have tried cleaning up the registry entries, cleaning out all browser history and cookies, uninstalling and reinstalling the software, as well as shutting my PC down and restarting it. It does not change the situation. The program continues to fine up until the point of transmitting to federal and state, at which point it notifies that it needs an update. Try to update the program, and all updates are complete, with none available. Try to transmit again, and it's the same result. Intuit needs to have a tech specialist or someone fix this issue, talk to one of it's customers with this issue, or have an actual notification sent out about what is going on. I, for one, am using this software for the first time, and quite frankly, not exactly impressed thus far.

Update:
I was able to send through the Federal file. So, that leaves an issue with the IL State tax system through TurboTax.
I am experiencing this same issue. Updated several times and continue to get the notice to update when I try to transmit.
