I installed TurboTax from CD, installed updates (it wouldn't let me skip them), reran TurboTax, then the authorization window popped up and...nothing. Just a repeated animated graphic.
I've tried all the stupid advice I've seen here, e.g. change screen resolution, disable firewall, change DNS server to 8.8.8.8, disable virus checker, run as administrator...nothing changes. This computer has TurboTax 2015-2021 installed on it, so there's nothing about it that's incompatible with TurboTax.
I noticed that in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Roaming\Intuit\TurboTax\TY22\ErrorLog, the newest log file had a section indicating an error:

Note that Intuit.Ctg.Map complains "There are multiple root elements. Line 26, position 2."
Possibly there's an erroneous XML file somewhere in the installation, but it doesn't give a path, so I can't tell where it is.
But I can't authorized my purchased copy. I need a solution for this.
