Turbotax Basic Sale of home

Is TurboTax Basic (online free) version appropriate when you have a sale of primary residence in the filing year?  

All other income categories are simple and meet the Basic requirements - I just cannot determine if this can be handled via Basic.

No, the free version does not include Form 8949 or Schedule D so it is not appropriate for your scenario, assuming you need to report the sale of your primary residence.
