I'm not sure what anyone can do about this but I thought I'd report the problem. I'm using Turbotax 2022 Premier, desktop edition for Windows (Windows 10). Today I started preparing my Federal return, and needed to enter my 1099 interest statements. I had Turbotax download them from the bank web sites so that I wouldn't have to manually enter all the info and values. I knew what the values should be because I also had paper copies of the 1099s. For one bank (Ally), for both myself and my wife, the numbers were completely incorrect for the interest value (off by many hundreds of dollars), and, in both cases, it included amounts for tax-exempt interest when there actually wasn't any. For Marcus (Goldman Sachs), which was only for one of us, while the values it imported were correct, it only imported two of the three accounts that were on the 1099 -- there was a savings account and two CDs, and it only imported one of the CDs. I ran these downloads multiple times and each time was the same. So I had to fall back to entering everything manually. Has anyone else had this problem? Do most people even verify that the downloaded values are correct?
