Turbo tells me I have to upgrade in order to file a 1099. I made 9000 this past year so I was wondering if there's a way to file my 1099 without paying for an upgrade?

The1099 was my income for being accepted into a research program. They said it would be labled as a reward. It was $1735 for working on the research during the summer. I was wondering if my low income allows me to avoid paying for the upgrade fee on turbo tax
