Open the 'My Info' section in the left-side menu. Check your Dependent Entries.

You may have indicated that a Dependent is adopted (screenshot).

No, both kids are marked none of the above. I know that when I took a picture of my w2, instead of retirement plan, it marked another letter suggesting adoption but I fixed it right away, and now I can’t make those adoption questions go away.

so I just said child adopted before 2019 and for name I put “I don’t have an adopted child” because I can’t finish my taxes without answering questions but nowhere on my return does it say anything about adoption

Try Deleting Form 8839 from your return. Or you can 'Clear and Start Over' (under Tax Tools in left-side menu).
