Turbo Tax Deluxe accepted the entry of a 0 capital gains sale on its 1099B entry screen. Subsequent tax forms look OK. Do I need to upgrade to Turbo Tax Premier?

No you do not need to upgrade.

Did you report the actual sales price and cost of the asset sold?

If it comes to $0 gain or loss that is fine, just make sure to report the correct amounts.
