TT asks for the total prior years depreciation. How many years back do I go? I started depreciating in 2009.

Clarify TT depreciation statement to add depreciation prior years to determine 2017 depreciation.  Does this mean to add all years that the roof was depreciated or to use the amount that was depreciated each year?

For prior years depreciation, enter the total amount of depreciation you have taken from 2009.  If this is the first time using TurboTax, the program will keep a track of that for you from now on.
