Trojan Malware on 2022 and 2023 Turbo Tax exe files

I just installed 2023 Premiere Turbo Tax to a new computer after installating antivirus software UltraAV. The exe file was scanned as Trojan Malware. This is the exact same situation that happened with 2022 TurboTax Premiere....so frustrating! Are Turbo Tax CDs sold with Trojan Malware? What is the cause?

No malware from Intuit but if you bought it from an unauthorized source that could be the problem.  another issue, if the CD is legit, is that the digital security signature certificate with the CD is invalid. it's been updated (march 2024) but you can't update (or install) with the virus protection turned on.

one thing to try before disabling the VP at your own risk, is to try using RUN as administrator (assuming windows computer and UAC as administrator)

Thank you for taking time to reply. I bought a new laptop and did not install UltraAV antivirus. Their customer support said sometimes the scans will identify exe files as Trojan malware. I now use the McAfee trial and Windows Defender as backup. I didn't need additional stress during tax season 😄
