Tips and occasional earning

I worked at a restaurant for part of the year and i also babysat and worked for elections canada. My understanding is that i would file all 3 of these under tips, gratuities or occasional earnings. My question is that my tips was close to $2000 and babysitting was $1500 and then elections close to $300. The amount comes to over $3500. would i need to submit it as self employed since the total is above the maximum occasional earnings? Or because tips and occasional earnings are different it doesn't matter. Thanks for your help!
