This last year, I made a one time transfer from a traditional IRA account to my HSA account. So far, Turbo Tax is counting that transfer as additional income by mistake?

Do I just simply remove the Form 1099-R for that IRA distribution?  If not, how can I get this corrected?

You do need to report the Form 1099-R on your tax return as the IRS may look for that entry. You should have saw a screen asking if you rolled the money into an HSA account after you entered the Form 1099-R into TurboTax:

For the entry I made, I used code "7" in box 7, indicated that it was an IRA account, said I did something else with the money when asked about that and left the box 2(a) entry blank. The distribution showed on line 4(a) of Form 1040, but not on the taxable IRA amount on line 4(b).

To view your form 1040 and schedule 1 to 3:

  1. Choose Tax Tools from your left menu bar in TurboTax Online
  2. Choose Tools
  3. Choose View Tax Summary
  4. See the Preview my 1040 option in the left menu bar and click on it
  5. Choose the Back option in the left menu bar when you are done
