Just bought from Amazon and I too am getting the Error Code 630

never seen a purchase from Amazon be fraudulent. How in the hell do you get someone from either company to fix this? can't contact Intuit live if you haven't paid for support and Amazon tell you to call Intuit

There are a few things you can try if you get Error Code 630 when entering your license code.

Here's a video outlining Error Code 630.

This error happened on my system also. It was fixed when I restarted the software and the software was able to reach the CAPTCHA properly to verify the online account status. (why do they need to do CAPTCHA anyway?)

As a software developer, this appears to be a bug in the TurboTax software that results from the integration of Internet verification systems. It appears they're unable to verify the license number. It's likely poor software integration of an online service element (which is new to Turbo Tax 2025).

Perhaps the executives of Intuit didn't understand that many of the people who buy software for their devices aren't interested in the online version of the same software. These are (maybe?) the same executives who were sooo eager to use online services without understanding the privacy implications, that Intuit inadvertently shared sensitive taxpayer info with Facebook resulting in a massive Class Action Lawsuit: https://www.classaction.org/news/intuit-secretly-shares-turbotax-quickbooks-subscribers-info-with-fa...

There's reasons why people like the offline versions -- one of them being that their sensitive tax info doesn't get leaked b/c of bad technical configurations. Note to Intuit: please stop pushing the online services to the offline crowd.
