There is no place to enter estimated taxes so I entered it as additional taxes. I have filed my taxes and now been told it's on the wrong line. What do I do?

If the IRS sent you a letter concerning the taxes being reported on the wrong line, follow their directions. Otherwise, amend the return and report the tax payments as estimates paid. 

HOW TO ENTER ESTIMATED TAXES PAID:

Sign in and open your return, Click “Pick up where I left off” (for online)

Type    estimated tax payments   into the search box and click the “Jump to estimated tax payments” link

Click Start next to the type of entry you wish to make

OR-

Click Federal

Click Deductions & Credits

Scroll down to "Estimates and Other Taxes Paid” Click Show More

Scroll down to "Estimated Tax Payments" Click Start
