The amount is coming from another entry on your tax return. To get rid of it, you need to delete it from the source in your federal return.
Line 34 is Credit for Utah income taxes prepaid from TC-546 and 2021 refund applied to 2022. So, unless you applied that amount of your 2021 refund to this year, you need to check the state payment section in your federal return.
- Select Federal from the left side menu.
- Select Deductions and Credits.
- Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid and expand the section.
- To the right of Income Taxes Paid, click Start or Revisit.
- Find 2021 refund applied to 2022 state taxes, click Start or Revisit to the right.
- If you find the entry there, you can click the trash can icon on the right to delete it.
- If your entry isn't there, select Deductions and Credits.
- Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid and expand the section.
- To the right of Estimated Tax Payments, click Start or Revisit.
- Find State estimated taxes for 2022, click Start or Revisit to the right.
- Answer the first question Yes.
- Make any corrections needed on the next screen.
