What should I put for accounting method on my 1099-misc?

the options are Cash, Accrual, and Other?
the way my husband was paid was direct deposit so do I just select Other and type in Direct deposit?

TYPO??? - The example for Accrual says that the Cash method would also record the income in 2016.
