There should be two (2) Form W-2s, one from the seller and one from the buyer, each reporting the wages they paid to your husband.
If the total wages reported on each W-2 add up to what your husband earned throughout the year, enter both W-2s in TurboTax. The company names on the W-2s aren't that important, but the EINs should be different.
(The sellers may have sold the rights to their original company name to the buyers and had been using a new name for legal purposes, such as payroll, until the sale was complete).
