The address for my employer on W2 is exceeding 35 characters, I don't see anywhere to abbreviate it. What should I do?

Please shorten the name from the end, at the right, to fewer characters, as the tax authority will be matching the first characters against the ID number  Sometimes the state forms do not allow as many characters as the federal form that it copies, if it is OK in the federal but not in the state.  In that case you will want to make the change in the federal return, so that it can transfer into the state with fewer characters.
