I've been using TaxCaster on iPhone for years. I just updated to the 2024 version and entered my info.
To my surprise, when I add income to "Total dividend income", the amount due goes ... down. Not up. For example amount due is $20,534. with Total dividend income set to $0.
Now I change Total dividend income to $10,000. Amount due goes to $19,634, meaning I would owe LESS in taxes. That is just wrong.
If I change Total interest income, it goes the correct way. Adding $10,000 here changes Amount due to $23,314, meaning I would owe more in taxes.

Try using TaxCaster in your web browser.
TaxCaster on the web does not have an entry called "Total dividend income." It has entries corresponding to the boxes on a Form 1099-DIV.
I don't see a 2024 version of TaxCaster in the App Store. Where did you get it from?
Are you sure you are using TaxCaster from Intuit, and not some other tax app?
The iphone version of Intuit TaxCaster was updated on Apple’s App Store 2 days ago for 2024. It is not the same thing as the web version.
