Someone would need to know a lot about your potential itemized deductions in order to help you. Most filers who do not own a home and pay mortgage interest, who don't have a lot of charitable contributions or don't have a lot of medical expenses in excess of 7.5% of their AGI, find that the standard deduction is better than itemizing. If you are in doubt, the only thing you can do is enter your itemized deductions and TurboTax will choose which is better.
