Super low federal income tax on W2
Hi, I worked for 6 month last year and only earned a little bit of money (just over $4000), but they only took out $0.09 for federal income tax! Is that correct?! Seems way to low!

The federal withholding tax tables changed last year. If your taxes withheld were too low, you may need to submit a new W-4 form to your employer.

it could be correct based on the period over which you earned the income and how you filled out the W-4 form when you were hired.
If that is your only income for the year, I could argue it's 'way to high' as I suspect the IRS owes you the 9 cents back 🙂
