so what do I do to get my home heating credit  i do have a refund  from that

If your home heating credit created a refund (Amount you overpaid) on your return, you should have entered the bank routing number and account number on your submitted return.  That would have been the only way the refund would be direct deposited into your account.  If the IRS approves your refund, they will mail a check to the address you used on your return.  It will take 4-6 weeks to receive that check.  To track it go to irs.gov and click on "where's my refund" and have your tax return in front of you to answer the identification questions.  That will tell you if your refund has been approved and when it is expected to be mailed.  Hopes this helps.
