Has anyone ever been under review for Federal Return?

@savion1989 I never even got bars on my refund just told me it was processing I contacted the irs they told me that my return was under review and that it had been released on March 2 2018 I and that I would have to wait 45 days from that day before I would receive it.. so they told me that I didn’t need to do anything but just wait which is what I did...then I got impatient and called thebira again they then told me that they send out updates every Saturday and to wait and I should have good news so I did just that...I got up on Saturday around 12am and I checked the app and I actually had bars and a refund date for March 21,2018 which I got last night in my bank account....the rep did tell me that they were trying to process all refunds that were under review by the end of the month

@breanawilliams27 Ok cool. I just been hearing different things and all kinds of things happening to my case. I've been waiting since January 23rd. So hopefully I get mines before the end of the month too. Congratulations btw I know it made your day lol

Yeah a rep told me the same thing. They update on Fridays so Saturdays are the best time to check. Congrats on finally getting your refunds ik it is a weight lifted

I called to speak to someone in the tax advocacy for hardship, ,,and I waited 2 hours and 1t mins,,,someone finally picked up..... the person verified all my w2s and the numbers matched up,,, and that someone would be calling me on 3/26 from hardship ,,,the lady told me the reason for so many tax returns being under review is because , so many people have been lying and getting away with fraud,,,, like clamining kids,  claiming that they worked and didn't, ,,etc,,,, and it's been happening a lot through turbo tax,,,because it's easy to just punch in fake numbers and etc , just to get a return.

So I filed mines feb4,,,,mines went under review feb 15,,,then I received a letter March 5,,,,so from March 5th to April 19,,,is 45 days of the waiting process for it to be reviewed...... so yesterday the lady said that u know how normally when u file, it tells u to give the irs 21 days to process ,,,,, so for me March 5 to march 26,,would be the normal 21 days ,,,so she gave me the 26th for someone to call me,,,so I'm hoping mines would be released. And I was also asked " what was my hardship "...


I'm hoping that info could help someone a little bit,,,I explained it the best way I could , being as through, I'm writing it, rather then just saying it

I checked today and my bars are back up.. and I have a date this time  for my refund to be deposited.

I filed jan 24 got my letter on march the 8 so iam getting close to the end now iam happy for you thanks for the information along process

We filed 2/2 went into review 2/15 got a letter dated 2/28. When I've called I've gotten April 1st(45 days from the 15th) but then also told 60days from the letter date. One rep told me they are required to do 45 days but it could take up to 60(according to my letter). The whole times they've told me it's because of the kids credit. We are a one income family and I've called the Tax Advocate in my area but still nothing. We need this money badly and I don't know what else to do.

my return  was pulled for review on feburary 26 I spoke with internal revenue on march the fifth got my letter on the 8th  so iam trying to see when my 45 days started

45 days from the day you went into review. The letter should state 60 days from the date of the letter

I am pretty much in the same situation, filed late January, got approved for refund date Feb 6, bars went away,contacted Irs, they stated under review wait for letter. Recieved letter march 15th stating wait  up to 60 days more ,wtf so pissed!!!! Car broke down,facing eviction,pretty much about to loose everything! I Keep praying and watching these post for hope but no luck on my end. Been checking wmr every night at 12 am like a fool only to see the same tax topic 152 message! Seems like everyone who has been in this situation are getting their bars back except me! Then the people who do get theirs never post back and disapear so we dont know what to expect for the ones who got theirs,im so frustrated and frankly this is depressing. It's Friday and still no bars,hoping for luck tonight but at this point I'm so discouraged! Anyone else that has got good news? Anyone get bars back or a ddd? I will pray for all of y'all and hope nobody else loosing anything waiting for this b.s. they are putting us through. Please pray for me as well and good luck to all waitting.
