Shouldn't reporting 1231 gain (box 10) from Schedule K-1 increase my tax obligation as it is a capital gain. In my case it reduces taxes after entering box 10.

I am entering the K-1 twice (as both box 1 and 2 have values). But have not duplicated any boxes between the two K-1s. I do have carryover rental loses from prior year showing in one of the K1's entered.
