Should I enter self employed or unemployed because I had decided to close my Amazon business in Dec. 2017, but I still had an Amazon FBA account? I'm unemployed now.

You should enter self-employed as your occupation as you were self-employed in 2017.

The IRS uses the occupation entered for statistical purposes only and it has no effect whatsoever on your tax return.
