Reporting State Income Taxes Paid on a Composite Return

Is there a place I can report state income taxes paid on my behalf by my corporation on a "composite" return? I am a part owner of an S-Corporation and have K-1 income in multiple states where I am not a resident. I get credit in my resident state for taxes paid to other states. But so far, the only way I can report taxes paid to other states in TurboTax is to purchase the state returns (at about $50/each) and create mock returns (even though I don't really need to file in these states, because the composite returns have already been filed). Please help!

Reporting State Income Taxes Paid on a Composite Return

Hi Ed,

Can you let me know what you learned about how to input the credit on your state return for taxes paid on your behalf to other states through a company composite return? I have this situation and haven't been able to figure it out on Turbotax.

Thanks

All states offer a tax credit for income that is double taxed. For some states, you can just select the credit and add the state information.

@JoeC1971 If you are online, you can create a fake state return to trigger the credit.
