Rental income deductions

Hi,

I spent some money on cleaning and fixing up things to get the property ready for renting.

How and where can i claim these deductions ?

The help content in turbotax says that money spent on maintenance while the property is "rented" can be claimed as expenses, but doesnt cover as to how to claim the expenses to get the rental property ready for tenants.

Cleaning and maintenance should cover it. You're not talking about huge expenses there.

Renovations are added to the basis of the property for depreciation and are not expensed.
