MY E-FILE GOT REJECTED DUE TO AGI MISMATCH. WHEN I TRIED TO FIX IT, IT ASKS FOR MY SPOUSES AGI. WE FILED MARRIED JOINT TAX RETURN. WHY DOES IT ASK FOR MY SPOUSES AGI? ALSO, I AMENDED MY PRIOR YEAR TAX RETURN? I USED MY AMENDED AGI AND IT GOT REJECTED. THEN A REFILED WITH THE ORIGINAL AGI. IT STILL GOT REJECTED. I CALLED IRS AND THE REP SAID TO TRY ZERO FOR AGI.
MY QUESTION IS, DID ANYBODY TRY PUTTING ZERO ON THEIR AGI AND IT RESOLVED THE PROBLEM?

Yes, if you filed jointly last year, you and your spouse's AGI are the same amount. If you Amended your return and it has been fully processed, that AGI for both of you should work. It it hasn't been fully processed, the AGI on your original return (same for both of you) should work. In some cases, zero does work.
