E-File was REJECTED with IRS message IND-181-01 missing IP PIN number. The Turbo Tax pin is only FIVE (5) digits and will not let you enter SIX (6). The IRS pin is SIX (6) digits. I looked on the form and there are two places for the PIN (yes, they both are restricted to FIVE (5) digits) but the first set were empty. I added the FIVE (5) digit Turbo Tax PINs and E-Filed it again for the third time. Very frustrating.

The third E-File got rejected also, sigh. Looked a little more diligently and found another place for a PIN and this time it has room for SIX (6) digits. Took the E-File merry-go-round once again. I'll let you know how the fourth trip goes. Does anyone know how to get off this ride?
OKAY ... Fourth E-File rejected. Logged into IRS account and it issued new IP PINs for 2022. Didn't know they needed to be renewed each year, very thoughtful. So, E-File number five is having its merry turn. We're just having too much fun here. 🙂
