My turbotax 2024 desktop premier federal plus state download version is hanging up on updates to state form. It basically times out with no update and then starts turbotax. It then allows me complete my federal and state tax info, but before I get to the point of filing, it wants to update the state forms. It once again times out and closes the program. My windows 10 is fully updated and I continue to have the same issue. As suggested on the turbotax support site, I uninstalled the 2024 turbotax and reinstalled it on the same PC. When I open my 2024 tax file, turbotax indicates my federal tax return is now on the PC but says "Let's get your state forms next." When I click to "download my state forms", it directs me to selecting a state tax form then processes me to pay for the same state form I originally loaded for free. How do I get turbotax to recognize I already have the state form in my tax file or allow me to download the same state file if that's what is necessary? I am essentially finished with the federal and state taxes, but can't proceed to file them due to this state form update issue.
