Everything worked fine and we were about to file the tax return; we updated Turbotax and then got this problem.
We received some Dependent Care Credit from employer; we didn't qualify for it; so we need to pay extra in the tax return. Clear and simple.
However, Turbotax keep asking us to fill out form 2441. We shouldn't have to fill it out because we didn't qualify for the credit. But we cannot delete the form. The form will be autogenerated as soon as we delete it. We later figured out this is because our W2 box10 Dependent Care Credit is not $0.
Filling out form 2441 doesn't help. Turbotax will then ask if we qualify for the credit and say that we do not. We choose to not to claim this credit. The software will delete form 2441. But later smart check will ask us to fill out 2441 again.
What we need is that turbotax let us delete form 2441 and stop generating it automatically. Or just stop asking us to fill out 2441.
We use turbotax desktop. Could someone please fix this bug?
