What state? Were the codes (or words) in box 20 different?

The employer is in indiana but the work was performed in lansing michigan where i live

Enter it as ONE SINGLE W-2. After you enter data for the first state in boxes 15-17, another row of boxes for 15-17 will "magically" appear. Same holds true for boxes 18-20.
