Not disagreeing with you but only pointing out that the only safe alternative is to prepare your return manually and then print and mail. Intuit (TurboTax) is no different (better or worse) than any of the others.
Am hoping they are better.
Best wishes to you.

Best wishes to you as well and they are NOT better. I've been there and done that.
I don't understand the justification, given if its all all about risk and shirking market then why not just let things be? Obviously the other software providers dont see any problems with W10 security. Plus what makes Intuit online any more secure or the customer's data being any less subject to potential Intuit subscription fees? Neither I like. Anyone dealing with anything online knows what its like when the system decides your ID/password alone isn't sufficent, and its time to extract more sensitive personal data from you for the sake of security by holding your email or bank account as ransom, while it tortures you with infinite questions and task.

I think it's fairly simple:
1) They want to develop for the current OS In the event something untoward occurs with updates that would not be applicable to Windows 10.
2) Testing the software, along with each update, on the new and old OS consumes resources.
3) Tangentially, I believe, they would like some to simply move to online preparation and use the services provided with the online products,
Right, wrong, or misguided, it's their decision to make.
I think it is dumb to REQUIRE windows 11 to use TT 2025 and beyond. Please explain why this requirement is in place. Windows 10 is perfectly fine and it is not up to you to decide if a User wants to run an OS that is not longer getting security patches.

Why on earth do you think you're owed an explanation? Intuit made a business decision, nothing more nothing less. It's about that simple and you do have options.
He is correct. This decision was strictly about business, despite Intuit's disenguous security concerns excuse they published. The dishonesty of the alleged security concerns with WIN10 has been exposed with decisions to allow commercial and Canadian TT users to continue access with WIN10, so clearly it is not about security or the cost/inconvenience etc. to allow home users in the US to also continue with WIN10. Yet it is a business decision and I have suggested my opinion of what the business decision is truly based on in previous posts, but if you ask think about who benefits from this decision, you can figure it out. Whether that decision was good for Intuit or not is dependant on you and other previous users. It would seem it would have been far easier and more forthright to just come out and state their true reasons.
So you must ask yourself, do you want this company handling your data?
You have other options that do not require WIN11.
