When I said do not amend, I was referencing the federal return, not the state return? Do you need to amend your state? If the numbers on your state return have changed, then you should amend it. But you have a couple of years to file the amendment, so no need to rush it on tax day. 😉 @graceeorso
Ya or nah on amending state
@DawnC @Disregard last post. The only thing I need to know is if I should amend state return for unemployment refund. Everything else is fine on my TurboTax page. It all went back to normal. Thank god ! Lol
No, if everything is the same on your returns now, there is no need to amend. @graceeorso
Ok...I just thought the new amount was supposed to show up @DawnC
I received my taxes back before the unemployment stimulus tax relief was announced. I then received an email from turbo tax to file an amendment and did so after the tax relief was announced. Will that cause problems???
should I pay my balance owed or wait until they send the amended amount?
Hi,
I've not received anything for unemployment assistance yet, do you know when can I expect to receive tax relief?
Regards
Kamran
There is appears to be an error in the latest update with regards to the unemployment adjustment. The maximum adjustment is supposed to be capped at 10,200 yet mine is much higher.
Schedule 1 line 8 (coded UCE) on the amended return shows total unemployment received which is much higher than 10,200.
I've been waiting a long time filed in Feb got my return in March now I'm waiting on my unemployment tax refund any idea when I'm struggling since my governor shut out bennifitts off on june
