What form is this on?
Are you getting this error when entering a 1099-R? If it were a new or obscure zip code I would ordinarily think that TurboTax has an error in their zip code database. But the address you gave is the address of TIAA. There must be tens of thousands of TurboTax users who have retirement accounts at TIAA, but I have not seen any other complaints about the zip code. If TurboTax was not accepting the zip code for TIAA this community would be flooded with complaints. So I'm inclined to think that there must be something wrong with the way you entered it.
What is the exact error message that you get?
Did you import the 1099-R? If so, delete it and re-enter it manually. Something might have gone wrong in the importing.
Make sure you have entered the 2-letter state abbreviation (NC) correctly. Delete it and enter it again. Make sure there's nothing in the box for the zip code except 5 digits. Press Delete and Backspace repeatedly until you're sure there's nothing left, then enter the zip code again. As a last resort, delete the 1099-R and enter it again.
