The IRS rounds every number entered to the nearest dollar. So the program does the same - rounding those to 3 and 1 respectively. But their sum is 3.10 which rounds to three. So you're going to have to force the program to round them properly. Change the 0.55 to a one and the 2.55 to a 2 and you'll be all set.
how do i change it manually? the only way i can see the form is towards the end of the process when i select 'view my return'.
You'll have to use the desktop version and adjust the figures earlier on in form view. Maybe adjust the prior year tax by a dollar.
Having the same error 0555 on Minnesota M1 form M15.
Line 22: 70
Line 21A: 34.95
Line 21B: 25.43
Line 21C: 10.34
Line 21D: 0
Sum 21ABCD: 70.72
Unable to change any numbers. Using desktop version. (premier)
Also tried setting annualized income to "NO" and tried deleting M15 and Estimated Wks
is there a way to clear the entire Minnesota return from TT and start it over? Seems the flag that I checked "YES" persists
if you're using the desktop version, you should be able to manually edit the form. at least that's what i was told by customer service. unfortunately, i was using the online version, so i can't give you any steps to do it.
I read that in their response to you. Tried changing the 2021 tax value by 1, and by 10 both up and down but it did not affect M15
based on what i've read, i think you should be able to edit form M15 directly to get the numbers to line up.
I was changing the 2021 MN income tax on line 5 on M15. But it didn't change anything on lines 21 or 22.
i think you need to actually change line 21 A-D and then let it calculate line 22.
again, i'm kind of guessing here since i didn't use the desktop version. maybe you have to manually change line 22 as well.
unable to change M15 line 21 or 22.
Waiting for the "experts" to chime in.
Actually found by choosing edit/override I can change numbers but don't seem to change anything further down
Figured out how to use the edit/override and manually fixed the TurboTax rounding error and the return was accepted
excellent! maybe you can share the steps you took so others can see how to fix it?
