I have used TT for business for YEARS! I have ALWAYS loaded last years return with a .pdf file. In reading the comments, I am NOT the only person.
This is ludicrous - I can't load the return, have no .tax2022 file and am completely screwed right now.

Did you use the online version or CD/desktop version in 2022? It matters. The CD/Desktop version is called "Home & Business" while the online version has a different name. If you used the CD/desktop version, then search your entire hard drive for *.tax2022 files. If it's not found, then it's because it was deleted or renamed by you, or someone else with access to your computer. It's also possible you did not complete the 2022 tax return on the same computer.
I only HAVE one computer. I am the only one that does the taxes. The file with that extension is NOT on my computer or on my TimeMachine backup that has recorded data for 3 years on it.
Do you still have TurboTax 2022 installed? If so, open up the past return and then save it to your desktop so you can easily find it to transfer over into TurboTax 2023.
Don't save it as a pdf. Do a save as and change the file location to your desktop to locate.
