Will I still receive my stimulus checks?

It doesn't matter whether or not someone claims you as a dependent. If you qualify as a dependent, you have to indicate so on your tax return whether they claim you or not. When you file and check the box indicating that someone else "can" claim you, you won't be eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit (stimulus).
I just want to double check this. I was a full time college student from January to mid May and then graduated during the 2020 year. I was also still under the age of 24. Does this mean I am able to be claimed as a dependent? Also based on your response if I am classified as a dependent it doesn't matter if my parents claim me or not. I still won't get my stimulus checks.
@tboon32 It sounds like you would be considered a full-time student and since you are under the age of 24, you most likely would qualify as a dependent of your parents, assuming they furnished over half of your support during 2020.
If so, you must indicate that someone else can claim you as their dependent on your tax return, and that will negate you qualifying for stimulus checks.
The university determines you status as a full-time student, and indicates that on line 8 of form 1098-T.

The parents of a Qualifying Child dependent do not need to provide *any* support whatsoever as long as the child did not pay more then half of *their own* support. It does not matter who paid for the effort as long as the child did not. The tax law that requiring parents support was changed about 15 years ago.
