What other avenues do I have to find out why my return is still in the accepted status 3 months later. What is this common this year? What Can I expect is happening? Thanks in Advance

Here are my top 4 ways to do an inquiry about a return not processed.
1. https://www.irs.gov/refunds - this is the IRS website to check the status
2. https://www.irs.gov/payments/your-online-account - go into your account and see if there are any letters or notices the IRS might of sent to you.
3. https://www.irs.gov/help/telephone-assistance - you can always call the IRS
4. https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions - F.A.Q. about why your return hasn't been processed.
Hi There:
Three months is within a normal time frame for the IRS to process a tax return. However, an additional avenue is make an appointment, over the internet, with your nearest IRS office and then respectfully ask for your return to be immediately processed.
ok thanks, the only thing I can think of is I filed my taxes in Feb. and in late March Ticketmaster sent me a small 1099 that was not included. Could that really cause a delay? Is that something they can adjust or will entire return be rejected?
Yes, that could very well be the source of the delay. It sounds like you need to amend your return. Here are instructions on how to do so. Hope this helps!
Will I actually get an answer other than, In process? Everytime I try to go a different avenue, I get the same answer. Is there a # to call to get a live agent?
The IRS can be reached at 800-829-1040, but the live agents generally don't have any additional information to provide beyond what's showing online. If it says it's in process, then that's generally the case.
