Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

Is it normal that prior year's Tax Liability or Adj. Gross Income don't match? I only ask as last year was the first time I went to a CPA & now I'm having this issue.

It does happen occasionally that folks 2018 AGI does not match up to what the IRS is showing.

If what you originally entered is correct, you won't be able to e-file. There's probably a data mismatch at the government, a dependent that's already been claimed, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed. In these cases, go ahead and file a paper return.

Verify that you entered your 2018 AGI correctly while in TurboTax follow these steps:

  1. Select File from the left hand side of your screen,
  2. Complete Step 1 and 2 if you haven’t already done so, then go to Step 3.
  3. When getting to the Let’s get ready to e-file screen after selecting Step 3, select I want to e-file before you continue.
  4. Follow the online instructions. When prompted, put in your exact 2018 AGI.
  5. Continue through the screens until you’ve transmitted your return.
