You can no longer file an extension after the due date. The federal tax return filing deadline for tax year 2021 was April 18, 2022:

If you missed the deadline and did not file for an extension, it's very important to file your taxes as soon as possible.

I have Turbo Tax Home and Business, and I opened the extension form in Turbo Tax. (Go to Forms, then click on the search bar and type "extension". The form should come up.)

The form says that you have to print and mail the extension form. The address to which you need to mail it is located in the form instructions.
