You may have inadvertently entered that you have a government plan so TurboTax is asking for form 1095-A. If you don't have a government plan, you don't enter 1095-B on your tax return. It's for informational purposes.
Keep it with your tax documents.
To remove the 1095-A question, you'll need to delete the 1095-A form and form 8962.
- If you're using TurboTax Online software and need to delete a form, click here.
- If you're using TurboTax CD\Download software and need to delete a form, click here.
Once you delete the forms, go back through the health insurance section of TurboTax. Please follow these steps:
- Type health insurance in the search box and click on Jump to health insurance.
- Continue with the onscreen interview.
- When you get to the Did you receive Form 1095-A for your health insurance plan? screen, select No, I didn't receive Form 1095-A and Continue.
- Continue with the onscreen interview until complete.
