All data in your State Return is populated by input into your Federal Return. We do not have access to your data on this website, however, we are happy to help. Can you please explain in more details what you are trying to change?
Schedule PIT-RSA Schedule A Itemized Deductions, line 5 e amount is $2,565. This is correct. However, lime 5f the sub total line increased the amount to $2,705 when there were no other amounts listed in lines 5a thru 5d.
The net effect is to understate my tax liability.
It's also possible that the larger amount is correct, but the difference is not printing in one of the first four lines.
What are your amounts in line 5a through 5f?
Line 5 (c) is 2,565.
However, the susubtotal line 5 (f) is listed as 2,705.
You didn't have an entry in either 5a or 5b? That's odd.
Does $140 mean anything to you?
No it does not.
You may be at an impasse. If you can’t generate the correct data in the Delaware itemized deductions form, your best bet may be to clear your state return and start it over.
Please see the TurboTax Help article “How do I delete my state return in TurboTax Online?” or "How do I clear my state return in the TurboTax for Windows software?" as appropriate for guidance.
The problem is with the Turbo tax state tax software. I can send you a PDF of the erroneous schedule, let me know.
You can send us a diagnostic copy of your return for a TurboTax professional to review.
The diagnostic file will delete personal information such as names addresses and SSNs from your return.
To get the diagnostic token number, select Tax Tools in the black menu bar on the left.
Then select Tools and Share my File with Agent
Post the token number here and the moderator can look it up.
I am having this same problem but the numbers are different.
Edit: I cleared my state return as suggested and a value did get populated into 5a making the math work, but I have NO idea what this 5a value is. Could I get any help on that?
5a; State and local taxes. a State and local income taxes or general sales taxes. You may include either income taxes or general sales taxes on line 5a, but not both. If you elect to include general sales taxes instead of income taxes, check this box . . . . . . . . .
