If you have not paid for the tax return or registered the tax return, you can use Clear and Start Over.

 

Clear and Start Over will wipe all the data you have already entered. You will be starting over from scratch.

 

To Clear and Start Over in TurboTax Online:

  • You should be signed in and working in TurboTax Online
  • In the left-hand black menu, click on Tax Tools
  • Then choose Clear and Start Over.

 

TurboTax defaults to the edition that you were last using. You will change the edition in the first couple of screens.

Hey I got upgraded to turbo deluxe and it's charging $120 how do I get rid of it

Is Turbo Tax Deluxe really $120.00 when I paid $59.00 last year. It gave me live and charging me way more this year. You said to go to menu and to go to tools, but I do not see this on my screen to start over. I did not pay nor did I submit return yet?

What should I do as I cannot get a live person to help? should I delete my account?  I have been using Turbo Tax for years why all of a sudden  am having issues?

If you have not paid for TurboTax Deluxe then you can downgrade to the free version by using the Clear & Start Over option.

  • With TurboTax open select tax tools in the left-hand panel.
  • Then select Clear & Start Over.
  • Select yes when asked are you sure you want to clear your return.

I do not see that feature on left side. Dies not give me option to clear.

If you are clicking on the "Tax Tools" selection on the left-hand side of the screen and it does not give you an option to "Clear and Start Over", your return may be registered. 

 

You can call customer service and try and have them remove it or you can open a new account and start over.
