When you select the file menu in turbotax you see the normal entries like "open" and "new tax return" it also lists some of the returns that have been created in turbotax for the year. It also has something that looks like this:

1 tax return x

2 Tax return y

3 .........

I want to be able to increase the number of available entries and delete some of the entries. I believe this is a text file buried in the app data somwhere but I can't locate it.

Is this for your current return or prior year return?

TurboTax automatically allows access of returns with online applications for 7 years. Once you've paid or registered, we're required to store copies of your return. These are the same requirements imposed on accountants, CPAs, and other professional tax preparers. You cannot remove prior year returns from TurboTax Online.

TurboTax doesn't store returns filed using the CD/Download software. Those are stored locally on your computer.
