@MaryK4 I'm using TurboTax Online.
I've deleted forms 4547, 8815, 8889-T, and 8889-S. When I run the federal review after deleting those forms, it flags EE and I US savings bond interest for review. I cashed in EE savings bonds, but did not use them for education expenses. After I select those answers, I see Form 8815 in the "Delete a Form" section again.
If I delete the form and log out, it doesn't automatically show up when I log back in.
Thanks, you can try to efile again. It was actually the 8889s that I worried would recreate themselves. @jmorrow338
@MaryK4 No luck - my payment options are still pay by check and set up an IRS payment plan, and my filing options are "file by mail" and "I'm not ready to file."
@jmorrow338 Please bear with me, I actually have found the block, but I need to find how to clear it...
Found it. You will have to run through the Foreign Earned Income and Exclusion section again. For your spouse's section, you will need to look for the Foreign Housing Deduction Carryover page and enter 0 for 2024 Form 2555 Line 46 and 48. Then please try to run through the file again. @jmorrow338
@MaryK4 I've made those updates but don't see any changes to my filing options.
You should consider filing by mail or use the following information to file for an extension.
If you need extra time, filing an extension by April 15, 2026, moves your submission deadline to October 15. But remember any taxes owed are still due in full by the original April 15 date.
