Yes. If the stock sale is not reported, the IRS will assume that the entire proceeds from the sale is taxable and you will receive a bill for unpaid taxes associated with that income.

Also, you are required to report all of your worldwide income on your tax return. There is not a minimum threshold to meet for a particular category of income.
