In the past, you had to buy different versions of TurboTax depending on which tax forms you need. It now (2018) appears that all versions contain all the same tax forms. Is this true? Do the desktop and online versions vary?

Thanks, but that is just a lot of marketing jargon. I am looking for a straight list of the forms for each version, including desktop compared to online.
My tax return uses many forms. I am willing to pay the price I need to get the version I need. I just want to know which one to buy.
If a form is listed but "not accessible" that is the same as the form not being there.
at the bottom of this 'marketing material' there is a 'view forms' link
OK. So this implies that all CD/download products have this same set of forms. Excellent.

But how does this compare to the online versions?
Yes, online is one person. But I still am not getting a clear answer about the forms supported by CD vs online.
Here's a link with a chart that shows which forms each of the online versions support: https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/deluxe.jsp .
